The “Kibbutz Galuyot” ensemble was established in 2014 as part of the collaborative creative process of creators Sharon Gombush (director) and Meital Yelink (multidisciplinary actress and artist). The creators’ unique work approach is based on academic research work around the burning issues in society and writing of the stage text while physically working with the actors in rehearsals. Meital and Sharon met while working together at the Be’er Sheva Theater in the play “The Cuckoo’s Nest” (2010), Sharon as the assistant director of Kfir Azulai and Meital as an actress in the Be’er Sheva Theater. The first performance of the ensemble “The next station Kibbutz Galuyot” was staged as part of the “Get Out of the Carriage 3” festival, in the old caravan in the station complex in Tel Spring (site-specific) and adapted for the Alley Theater. The old train car, was the inspiration for the stage texts that flood the rifts of Israeli society and the audience takes an active part during the show. Since then, they have created “Pinocchio”, a children’s play for actress and puppets in collaboration with the Kibbutz Theater (2015). The play “Evil Beast” inspired by Anton Chekhov’s short sketch “The Bear” at the Alley Theater in Jaffa (2018). Performance Art Show: We Can Do It! Winner of the fourth place at the 9th Rehovot International Festival of Living Sculptures (2018) and presented at festivals: Ofakim Street Theater, The Clowns in Netanya and the Acre Festival for another theater as an outdoor show.
