Mai Zarchi (1984), choreographer and performer, a graduate of the Rotterdam Netherlands Academy of Dance (2006) and the ex.e.r.ce choreography program at Montpellier France, under the direction of Cassava Le Roe and Matilda Munia (2007). She was an assistant to the choreographer William Forsyth in Frankfurt Germany (2005). One of the founders of the choreographic collective mamaza in Germany (2009-2015) with whom she has created and performed around the world. Initiates and curates the Cinema Series – Choreographic Cinema – a series of screenings of stage works that have not been seen in Israel for various reasons, followed by a live Skype conversation with the creators (CCA Center for Contemporary Art). Teaches at the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem. Works as a playwright for other artists, including: Shira Eviatar, Adi Botros and more.
